Cedars Art House

Located in the heart of the Cedars neighborhood, Cedars Art House currently includes the working studios for three local artists.

Ken Craft is a painter whose work reflects an interest in various forms of the representational in nature. He is interested in science, people’s histories, and the universal struggles of all beings. It’s also common for visual and written narrative to be incorporated into his work.

Sarah Theobald-Hall’s paintings explore familiar territory with an acute sense of the unfamiliar and the weird. To her, a painting succeeds if it creates a space for viewers to explore their own unfamiliar weirdness. Using direct observation, she experiments with a variety of objects to paint still life works.

Finally, Carroll Swenson-Roberts is a painter drawn to art that changes or reveals new and different readings when seen over time. The subjects of her stories narrate memories and thoughts of family, motherhood, music, travels, and more. The focus of her art is the surprise and joy of an ordinary life.

Cedars Art House has proudly participated in the Cedars Open Studios tour since the space first opened its doors in 2017.
