Ammie Felder-Williams

Ammie Felder-Williams is an artist who uses her art to explore her multiracial identity and express observations of the world around her. An anthropologist and journalist, she is a self-taught artist who uses acrylics, watercolors, oils, pastels and recycled materials to create pieces full of texture. Her travels have taken her to Japan, Egypt, Rwanda, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, the Caribbean and most of the U.S. The pieces shown here evoke the current state of environmental havoc, as well as the calm that occurs when nature gives us pause and time to admire the indestructible beauty of the world.
